The Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream 2011 Re-Issue

One of the biggest and most influential alternative rock acts in the world, The Smashing Pumpkins have sold over 30 million albums and to date have notched up 5 UK Top 10 albums and 11 UK Top 40 singles.

Their first two albums 'Gish' and their UK breakthrough 'Siamese Dream' (UK No 4) have now received the full remastering treatment, and come in deluxe 2CD/DVD, standard 1CD and digital formats.

Both albums come bursting with bonus content and special features hand-picked from the band's archives by founding member, lead-singer and main songwriter Billy Corgan, with all tracks painstakingly remastered for the first time from the original master tapes by Bob Ludwig.

Both Deluxe versions of 'Gish' and 'Siamese Dream' will each include a bonus disc of rare and previously unreleased audio content, including brand new Butch Vig mixes, demos, live radio performances, rehearsal sessions and unheard acoustic mixes.

The 'Gish' and 'Siamese Dream' Deluxe versions will each also contain a never-before-released live show from the Metro in Chicago (the band's hometown) on DVD. With the 10-song live show in the Gish package taken from a 25th August 1990 concert and the 17-song live show in the Siamese Dream package taken from 14th August 1993, with both DVDs featuring introductions by Joe Shanahan, owner of the Metro in Chicago.

The Deluxe editions come in a special lift-top box, including never-before-seen collages, photos, postcards and extensive liner featuring an interview with Billy Corgan, reflecting on how these albums were hard-won triumphs for the band and offering track by track commentary on the origins of each song.
