76 is Armin van Buuren's debut artist album and presents the signature sound from his live sets - that is, melodic, progressive and uplifting Trance.
Tracks like "Precious" offer a classic trance sound, with breakdowns, build-ups, and synths, very at home in a big warehouse room with a sea of hands in the air.
Then there are the vocal tunes such as "Yet Another Day" and "Burned With Desire", both of which hark back to late 90s gems like Quench's "Dreams" and Rui Da Silva's "Touch Me In The Morning", yet with a contemporary edge.
Vocal collaborators - Ray Wilson, Justine Suissa, Victoria Horn, Krezzip etc. - are all strong and add an extra element to tracks.
An invaluable CD for aspiring DJs, and an equally enjoyable record for lounge room dancers, Armin's first album is pretty much a necessity for dedicated trance fans.
