Shuga band honours Nigeria's MKO
The founder of Shuga band, Akinloye Tofowomo,
has released a
tribute song in honour of the late sport and business mogul Chief
Moshood
Kashimawo Olawale Abiola (MKO).
Akin Shuga, as he is known by his fans, admired the philanthropist and had met the late Abiola several times. This inspired him to go to the studio and record a song which has already been making the rounds and praised by critics.
Shuga have made a name for themselves by
bridging the gap
between the young and the old at events and parties. They've
blended legendary
old school tunes and African flavours resulting in performances at
high profile
events. These include the wedding of Famodun and Olaide Bishi held at The Grandeur
Event Centre and
the annual dinner dance for the Nigerian American Chamber of
Commerce held at
the Consular General's Residence.
Akinloye Tofowomo is also the founder and president of Shuga Limb
Foundation
and a graduate of political science from the Lagos State
University.
