Demi Lovato wants family by 30

Demi Lovato wants to be married with children before she is 30.

The 19-year-old star has a long term plan to be settled and start a family, and although she hasn't found the right man yet, knows exactly what she's looking for.

She told the Brazilian edition of Cosmopolitan Magazine: "I want to be married with kids in 10 years. Just to a guy who makes me laugh. Obviously, I have to be attracted to him, but a sense of humour really does it for me.

"I don't have many deal breakers. I've done so much in my life, it doesn't feel right to judge other people. Oh, I know one quality I won't tolerate. I would never be with a guy who is controlling."

Demi has had a turbulent life since 2010, when she was admitted to rehab and has openly battled and overcome depression, drug use and bulimia.

But while she's not worried about what potential suitors may think of her, she is "embarrassed" about what their parents may think.

She added: "It doesn’t really bother me that a guy will know about my past before we even go out. What's more embarrassing is that his mom will already know my life."

Demi last week started her new job as a judge on the US version of 'The X Factor' alongside Britney Spears, Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid.
