David Oistrakh

David Oistrakh was a Russian violinist who collaborated with many musicians and orchestras across the world including Europe, the Soviet Union and the United States.

He is considered one of the preeminent violinists of the 20th century. During his lifetime he dedicated numerous violin works including both of Dmitri Shostakovich's violin concerti and the violin concerto by Aram Khachaturian.
