Maya is the perfect mother. Her life revolves around her three children. Despite being divorced from her husband, Aman, Maya has ensured that everything runs smoothly in her house, and that they continue to remain a happy family unit.
However, when Aman introduces his girlfriend, Shreya, who has a lot to learn about children the situation takes an unexpected turn. And when one particular incident changes their lives by bringing the two women under the same roof, they find themselves putting a most unusual situation to the test. Forced to make some unorthodox choices Maya must confront her uneasy relationship with Shreya and find a way to bring everyone together to make them a family once again.
This Bollywood drama is effectively a remake of the 1998 Hollywood film 'Stepmom' starring Susan Sarandon and Julia Roberts.
