Stars respond to 'Isidingo' fire
Celebrities and actors have responded to the
recent fire
that broke out at the 'Isidingo' set inside the SABC building.
5FM DJ Gareth Cliff tweeted a photo of the 'Isidingo' staff
supposedly hanging
out at the SABC building's food court. He captioned it: "Isidingo
cast and
crew loitering at the SABC."
'Morning Live' presenter Leanne Manas tweeted her fears that
'Isidingo' fans
might have to do without their favourite show.
"On air screenings of Isidingo won't be affected due to the fire -
series
filmed 3 months ahead. R40m damage," she tweeted.
Ashish Gangapersad, who plays Prada in 'Isidingo' supported Manas'
view, tweeting:
"Things could have been a lot worse. We shall not let this affect
the show
though...That as they say, must go on (sic)."
Latoya Mangezi, who plays Andile Dial on the soapie, was very
upbeat about the
incident, calling it a "minor incident" and tweeting: "Like the
Phoenix, we shall rise from the ashes".
'The Lab' actor Fana Mokoena showed his support of the show too.
He tweeted: "Isidingo is not going anywhere. Actors are not hurt.
Endemol
has cash. They'll rebuild. I just hope actors pay is not affected.
That's
all."
Major questions are being raised about the safety of the Henley Studios complex at the SABC's Auckland Park headquarters following the devastating fire on 13 June.
