Gemma Arterton didn't expect marriage
Gemma Arterton never expected to get married.
The 'Tamara Drewe' actress, who tied the knot with Stefano Catelli in June this year, admits she spent so much of her life surrounded by failed relationships, she never dreamed of settling down until meeting the sales manager in a nightclub last year.
She said: "I never thought I'd get married because everybody in my life had been divorced.
"Mum and dad, everybody, especially from the town I grew up in. I never saw successful marriages, so I always thought it was a pointless thing to do. But when I met Stefano, I just understood why you get married. Instantly.
"You become the same thing and you just grow together. I just got it."
The 24-year-old beauty also admits she loves her Italian-born spouse's humbleness.
She told Britain's Glamour magazine: "Oh, he is so hot. And he doesn't even know it, he's so humble. He's gorgeous. And I'm pretty chuffed about that."
Discussing the possibility of motherhood and a family with Catelli, she suggests it is on the cards.
She revealed: "I've always been a mothering person."
